It’s not easy being gay anywhere, far-more-less in the Caribbean. Homosexuality is still against the law in most Caribbean countries as in there are laws still on the books banning homosexuality. Here in the twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago, though not enforced, there are even laws that ban homosexuals from entering the country. These citizens are not recognised or protected from persecution or discrimination, and though times are slowly changing towards acceptance, resistance still abounds. Yet… visible they are becoming. Here is one story of being oneself and living out loud.
